Extra- Curricular Clubs

At Glasshoughton Infant  Academy, learning extends beyond the classroom. Our extra-curricular clubs give pupils the chance to explore new interests, develop skills, and enjoy experiences that complement their academic studies.

These clubs help pupils to:
  • Build confidence, teamwork, and social skills
  • Discover new talents and hobbies
  • Develop resilience, motivation, and independence
  • Make friends and be part of a supportive community

We understand that learning is life-long and that it is crucially important for children to be able to develop new hobbies and interests.  Personal interests are key to forming a strong sense of identity, community and self-worth and learning new skills develops our thinking and resilience.

At Glasshoughton Infant Academy we offer a range of clubs and extra-curricular activities throughout the year. These include:

  • Drawing Club
  • Yoga Moves
  • Gardening Green Fingers
  • Cookery Club

All clubs will be shared with our parent and family community via Class Dojo.

The child has a hundred languages, a hundred hands, a hundred thoughts, a hundred ways of thinking, of playing, of speaking.
