Free school meals are available to some children according to family circumstances.

You will usually qualify for free school meals if you are in receipt of any of the following:

• Income Support
• Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
• Guarantee element of state Pension Credit
• Child Tax Credit with no Working Tax Credit and have an income, as assessed by the Inland Revenue that does not exceed £16,190.
• Support under Park VI of the Immigration & Asylum Act 1999
• Employment Support Allowance (Income Related) (ESA-IR)

If you are entitled to register for free school meals please do so, even if your child has a packed lunch, as school received extra funding through ‘Pupil Premium’ to spend on a range of services. Children eligible for free school meals will also receive free milk daily.

Please note, free school meal entitlement will need to be renewed as needed.
