Admissions

If you wish to apply for a place at Glasshoughton Infant Academy, all admissions are dealt with on our behalf by Wakefield Council – telephone 01924 305617. The Local Authority pages found here explain Wakefield policies and information on school admissions from starting primary school through to high school.

Starting school, or moving from one school to another can be a worrying time for both parents and children. The Local Authority aim to make the school admissions process as painless and trouble free as they can; and if problems do arise, for example if they cannot offer your child a place at the school you want, the School Admissions Team will discuss alternatives with you and give you details of the appeals arrangements.

Wakefield school admissions policy can be viewed  by visiting the Wakefield Local Authority Website admissions page found here. On this page you will find details of the policies for the admission of pupils to Wakefield schools. The Policy can be viewed online or saved for offline viewing using Adobe Reader.
