At Glasshoughton Infant Academy, reading is at the heart of the curriculum. Children have lots of opportunity to read and be read to, developing an understanding of different texts, authors and a love to reading. Each half term we will share with you an update on the reading that will be taking place this half term through our ‘Reading Round up’

Our first edition will introduce you to the class authors across school and share with you the texts that the children will be reading to enhance their learning this half term.
